4 Reasons Why You Should Promote Your Medium Pieces on ManyStories
ManyStories was created by Lincoln W Daniel (I sincerely hope I tagged the right guy) and as per the site, it serves as a platform for both writers and readers.
Members of ManyStories can share and discover stories and articles from writers around the world. It can help writers reach more readers and build a bigger following.
I vaguely remember how I discovered ManyStories, but I assume it was when I was toying with Medium — trying to figure out tricks on how to gain more traction before I start to actually write on the platform and ever since I started, I’ve been promoting my pieces on ManyStories.
Here are 4 reasons why you too should share your Medium pieces on ManyStories:
1. It brings at least a two-digit number of views for me
I know two a two-digit number of views isn’t remarkable for all you big stars on Medium, but for the little, old writers like myself — we’re just happy to give our Medium pieces some well-deserved love.
I’m perfectly satisfied with the approximate number it can give, it’s better than nothing, right?
Also, it’s super easy for pieces on Medium to go unnoticed, ManyStories can help pull our writings out of the Medium abyss.
2. It’s easy to have one of your Medium pieces be featured on the homepage
I have had at least 5 articles on Medium that were featured on ManyStories’ homepage.
What I noticed is that all of them are about Writing or about Medium. Of course, I’ll take that over nothing.
Their front page isn’t as hard to budge as Medium’s and although all of my articles that were featured on ManyStories’ homepage is about writing or Medium, they do feature other topics as well.
I’m happy they have fiction in there, and if I can roll my eyes at Medium while saying that, I would’ve.
3. It has it’s own chat board and forum for it’s members
ManyStories has a couple of features that I find interesting:
One is it’s chat board called PenChat. You can interact with other writers, ask questions, and even promote your articles in one of the community channels on the left side of the screen.
The creator of ManyStories is also on the chat and is a very friendly, easily accessible person, which is super cool.
Second is it’s forum, I haven’t really gone around to using it but I hope as ManyStories continue to gain popularity, many members will use it as a mean to communicate with each other.
Forums are fun in my head, it has a Friendster nostalgic vibe for me.
4. It doesn’t have a lot of members..yet
Someone correct me if I’m wrong but I believe that ManyStories is still on it’s beta phase and as a marketer, anything that has a good chance to boom is a good place to put money on.
I think it’s a smart move to be one of the pioneer members of ManyStories, I definitely think it will pay off for Medium writers.
Just a bit of a disclaimer: I am not affiliated to ManyStories in any way. I just find the platform interesting and thought it can help out other writers.
I hope this article helps other Medium writers one way or another, that’s half of the whole point.
The website is fairly easy to navigate and it takes literally 20 seconds to share one of your writing pieces.
Give it a shot!
